Electric cars are available from the following manufacturers:

The charging options are becoming more and more

And finally, electric cars also bring another decisive advantage: convenient charging, preferably from home. In the meantime, (fast) charging stations can also be found in many public places, whether at ordinary petrol stations, in company car parks or in front of the supermarket - the number of electric charging stations is increasing.

Incentives for the purchase of an E-car

Besides the environmental factor and the driving experience, there are also financial reasons for purchasing an electric vehicle. The lack of petrol costs is just as much a reason to buy as low taxes or government incentives. In addition, maintenance and servicing costs are very low. Since an electric car usually only needs two components - the engine and the battery - owners have few problems with wear and tear.

Environmental zones are no longer a no-go area

Not only the climate can be happy about the contribution to air quality, but also the owner of the electric car. This is because the designated environmental zones that now exist in many cities are no longer an obstacle. With the electric vehicle, these zones can be entered without hesitation.

Calm and dynamic driving experience

Above all, the pleasantly quiet driving experience is convincing across the board. And yet the electric motors also provide the necessary torque and with it seamless, immediate acceleration without load delay.

Archetype of electromobility – fully electric vehicles

The obvious advantage is that the vehicles do not use fossil fuels, do not produce any environmentally harmful substances such as CO² or nitrogen oxides, and are therefore emission-free. In this way, electric vehicles contribute to better air quality and make our environment cleaner and more pleasant.

Plug-in hybrids are available from the following manufacturers:

Hybrid with additional charging options

The next major category of electric mobility is plug-in hybrids. These represent a special feature. They are a hybrid of two different drives: Internal combustion engine and electric motor. In contrast to the standard hybrid, they also offer the additional advantage that they can be connected to a charging station. This is where the name of these special electric vehicles comes from.

Lithium-ion battery provides more range

Like the hybrid, the plug-in hybrid is particularly suitable for short distances. In contrast to its hybrid relative, however, the Plug-In is distinguished by the fact that it has a lithium-ion battery, which enables it to generate a higher capacity. This makes it possible to cover distances of up to 50 kilometres purely electrically.

Especially useful for everyday trips

Of course, in terms of purely electric range, even this type of car does not yet come close to petrol engines. Nevertheless, the plug-in can successfully cover most (short) distances in everyday life - emission-free and quietly.

Hybrid

Hybrids are available from the following manufacturers:

Hybrids are in demand - more and more models

Another type of e-mobile locomotion is the classic hybrid. As the original meaning of the word suggests, a hybrid vehicle is made up of different components. In this case, it is two different types of drive - usually an electric motor and an internal combustion engine. This type of e-mobility has now also established itself on the market. Nowadays, the choice of models from a wide range of manufacturers is considerable.

Intelligent combination of electric motor and combustion engine

The electric motor is much quieter and more efficient, showing its potential especially on short journeys. It has a high torque, supports the combustion engine, recharges the battery while driving and is also helpful as a starter for the petrol or diesel engine. For longer distances, the combustion engine is used, guaranteeing the hybrid the necessary range. The car decides for itself when to use which drive, depending on the driving situation. The most energy-saving variant is automatically selected.

You also have more options when it comes to fuel

In hybrid cars, the electric motor charges the drive battery while driving, while the combustion engine runs on fuel as standard. However, in many cases the hybrid also offers more options here than a standard passenger car. The engines are often flexible and can run on rapeseed oil, biodiesel or LPG in addition to the normal fuels.

Many advantages and financial support

The advantages of the hybrid are obvious. Of course, pollutant emissions and noise pollution are reduced. In addition, however, fuel savings of up to 50 percent are achieved and the driving experience is also very pleasant. Here, too, government subsidies make the decision to buy easier.
