Hotel Saltus

Nature is lived here

High up in the mountains, at 1,100 metres above sea level, the Hotel Saltus is situated directly on the edge of the forest. Despite the tranquillity and seclusion of this design-loving boutique hotel, it is only nine minutes by cable car to the pulsating heart of Bolzano. Alternatively, a panoramic road connects the small mountain village of 2,000 inhabitants with the provincial capital. Thanks to the fantastic location of the mountain village, which has the most hours of sunshine in South Tyrol, there are numerous opportunities to enjoy nature in the nature reserve. With 800 kilometres of trails, this is a true paradise for hiking enthusiasts. Guests can also experience the enchanting nature while jogging, horseback riding or on an e-bike. In winter, a snow-covered winter landscape enchants guests and invites them to leave their first tracks on the snow-covered meadows with snowshoes or to trot through Jenesien on the back of Haflingers.

The architecture of the hotel, which will open in 2019, nestles into the steep slope and constantly plays up the panoramic location: The depth of the forest is brought on stage just as much as the raw, wild beauty of the lime-white Dolomite chain. In the 28 rooms and suites with their timeless, bright and high-quality design, guests can switch off from everyday life and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Guests can also relax in the hotel's Forest Spa with various saunas and treatment rooms or in the 18-metre infinity pool, indoor pool and roof terrace with panoramic views of the Dolomites. The sky pool is located at the highest point, the roof, while the spa area is at the lowest point - resembling a nest of glass floating weightlessly in the forest. The day is framed by the Saltus relaxation programme with daily introductions to the most proven relaxation techniques such as meditation, yoga or forest bathing.

Guests are treated to culinary delights at the Tschögglbergerhof inn, a fixture on the South Tyrolean restaurant scene. Here, the products are chosen strictly according to season and sourced from a close network of local farmers and suppliers. Whether at breakfast or dinner, the EmobilHotel leaves nothing to be desired.

The Hotel Saltus is the first ECO Hotel in South Tyrol and is completely committed to protecting the environment. The hotel has not only paid attention to sustainability during construction, but also uses electricity from renewable energy sources, does completely without disposable plastic and collects rainwater for garden irrigation with catch basins.
