The 4-star Seehotel Am Kaiserstrand does not bear the name Kaiserstrand for nothing, as the building's long history shows that in 1917 Emperor Karl I stayed with his wife Zita in what was then the Strand-Palast Hotel. After that, the building served as a health resort, emergency accommodation for refugees, a reserve hospital and barracks. In 2010, the Seehotel Am Kaiserstrand was opened.
